Number of Turkish citizens looking for job in Azerbaijan decreasing

In April 2019, the number of Turkish citizens, who visited Azerbaijan through the Turkish Employment Agency (ISKUR) to find a job, decreased by 61.9 percent compared to the same month of 2018, Trend reports referring to ISKUR.

During the reported period, eight Turkish citizens arrived in Azerbaijan via ISKUR.

In April 2019, through ISKUR, 6,867 Turkish citizens went abroad, which is 14.9 percent less compared to April 2018.

According to ISKUR, in April 2019, 122,913 Turkish citizens were employed in Turkey, which is 46.5 percent more compared to the same month last year.

Of those employed in April 2019 in Turkey men and women accounted for 68 and 32 percent, respectively.

Among those employed in April 2019, 99.6 percent accounted for the private sector.

In April 2019, the number of unemployed in Turkey amounted to 3.038 million people, of which 50.1 percent were women, 49.9 percent - men.
