Heavy wind and whirlwind seriously damaged houses in the Azerbaijani northern region of Guba (170 kilometers of Baku).
Heavy wind destroyed roofs of houses in the Gilazi, Gonagkand, Susay and Mohuj villages. Roughly 20 electricity posts fell down in the Gonagkand village, Trend regional correspondent reported.
The Guba Region Emergency Situation Commission Chairman Yusif Abidov told journalists that relevant measures are being taken to eliminate consequences of the heavy wind in the region. Although electricity transmission was suspended in some part of the region in the evening, it was resumed in the early morning.
