One More Body Pulled Out from Ruins of Collapsed Building in Baku (edited in the first paragraph)

Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr I. Alizadeh / One more body, bringing the total up to eighteen for the time being, was pulled out from the ruins of the collapsed sixteen-storey building in the Yasamal District of Baku. The report was proved by the spokesman for the Azerbaijan Emergency Situation Ministry, Tural Museyibov.

Forensic experts are attempting to identify the body. Supposedly, there are still seven people trapped in the ruins, a Trend correspondent reported from the scene of the incident.

The Baku Prosecutor's Office has filed a case in accordance with Articles 222.2 (violation of safety regulations during construction, mining and other work, resulting in death and injury) and Article 222.1 (violation of safety regulations during construction work) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan. A preventive research group was formed with the employees of the Prosecutor's Office and the Emergency Situations Ministry.

The Director General of Mutafakkir construction company, Ali Muradov, the company's engineer general, Askar Aliyev, master builders Farhad Hasanov and Gadir Salimov, were all detained in connection with the incident. They have been sentenced to three months imprisonment.
