Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend S. Ilhamgizi / The Head of Azerbaijan's Presidential Administration Department for Work with the Law-Enforcement Bodies, Fuad Aleskerov, briefed the media on 17 October saying that it is not necessary to trust the elections to the interior bodies.
Separate political parties (the Great Establishment Party, Democratic Reforms Party) suggest the liquidation of the election commissions and hold the elections with the help of the interior bodies. They explain this proposal through the foreign experience. The election commissions have already been established for this purpose and they function productively. "Indeed there are countries trusting their elections to the Interior Ministry. However, Azerbaijan does not need it. The activity of the elections commission is developing," Aleskerov said.
