Chairman of the Senate of the Kazakh Parliament Kassymzhomart Tokayev received Azerbaijani Ambassador to Kazakhstan Latif Gandilov in connection with the completion of his diplomatic mission in the country, the press service of the Senate of the Kazakh Republic said.
During the meeting, speaker thanked Latif Gandilov for a significant contribution to the strengthening of friendly relations between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, and gave the diplomat a testimonial letter, the press service said.
"Our countries share common views on a wide range of issues of international policy, active economic, political ties and a common culture", Tokayev said.
Latif Gandilov expressed gratitude to the Kazakh leadership for supporting his activity as ambassador.
