President of Mauritania Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz has today been given an official welcome to Azerbaijan, AzerTAj state news agency reported.
A guard of honor was lined up for the Mauritanian president at the square decorated with the national flags of the two countries.
Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz was welcomed by Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev.
The two presidents inspected a ceremonial Guard of Honor as a military orchestra played the national anthems of Azerbaijan and Mauritania.
Azerbaijan's state and government officials were introduced to President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz, while members of the Mauritanian delegation to President Ilham Aliyev.
The presidents then posed for photographs.
