Astana toughens checks on compliance with migration laws on the eve of the OSCE summit.

About 14,831 foreigners and people without citizenship were brought to administrative liability for breaking the rules of staying in Kazakhstan.

These are the results of a week operation, the press service of the Kazakh Interior Ministry told Trend.

This list includes 783 people from abroad and 14,048 people from CIS countries. About 2,049 foreigners, including 105 from abroad and 1,944 from the CIS countries were exprelled, the press-service said.

"About 24 foreigners, including four for possession and sale of drugs were arrested for committing various crimes," the ministry said.

About 215 wanted people were detained. About 24 criminal cases were filed for violation of migration laws.
