The European Union's Special Representative for South Caucasus Peter Semneby called his meeting with the Georgian Parliamentary Speaker David Bakradze as multilateral and important.

The question was about preparation for the upcoming elections, particularly about the important work, which is underway to improve electoral legislation, he told journalists after the meeting.

Semneby said that the sides discussed the issue on conflict regions. He informed Bakradze on the outcome of his visit to Sukhumi, on how to deepen the policy of involvement and in what sphere it is possible.

Semneby believes that certain actions are possible in the health sector from a humanitarian point of view.

"We also talked about international relations, particularly relations with Russia. I think it was a multilateral and important meeting," Semneby said.
