Georgian expert Gia Khukhashvili considers the Russian President's interview to the Georgian channel as a merit of personal contacts of journalists. It is not connected with a change in political climate.

The expert commented on the interview given to journalists of the Georgian TV channel "PIC", "Echo of Moscow" and "Russia Today". He said that there was nothing new in Medvedev's responses, but there were several signals that give reason for restrained optimism.

"The first is that the Russian president is ready to consider any question in a form of a direct dialogue," Khukhashvili said.

He said that he noticed many differences between Medvedev's interview and the Georgian side's position.
