A parliamentary delegation led by Speaker of Azerbaijani Parliament Ogtay Asadov left for Kazakhstan, Almaty city to attend the events marking the 20th anniversary of the Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States (IPA CIS), the parliament told Trend.
The delegation includes MPs Arif Rahimzade, Rufat Guliyev, Haji Salayev, Rauf Aliyev, parliament apparatus head Safa Mirzayev and other officials.
Within the visit the delegation will attend meetings and events marking the 20th anniversary of the IPA CIS.
A series of meetings of Ogtay Asadov with heads of delegations of countries attending the event are scheduled within the visit.
The meetings will discuss the current state of the IPA CIS, future development of relations within the organization, deepening of relations at the level of legislative bodies of the organization member states, exchange of experience, and other issues.
The visit will end on March 28.
