Against the backdrop of the economic situation in Azerbaijan, the president is taking steps for holding the next reforms, said Ogtay Asadov, speaker of the country's parliament.
He made the remarks Jan. 19 at an extraordinary session of the parliament.
The relevant documents were sent to Parliament by President Ilham Aliyev for the implementation of reforms, he said.
Considering its importance, an extraordinary meeting was convened, Asadov mentioned.
