There is no Azerbaijani among the suffered as a result of earthquake in Pakistan, the Consul of the Azerbaijani embassy in Pakistan, Dashgin Shikarov, told Trend .
According to Shikarov, employee of the embassy with consideration of the large territory of Pakistan within two days studied the possibilities of Azerbaijani victims among the suffered. Shikarov noted that the softening factor was that the earthquake hit the territory where Azerbaijanis do not reside. Azerbaijani mainly live in Islamabad, Lakhor and Karachi, where inconsiderable destructions were fixed.
The Consul added that part of Azerbaijanis reside in capital around the house destructed as a result of tremors. The employees of the embassy met with them and asked to replace to safer places, as the Azerbaijanis did.
In general, 30 Azerbaijanis reside in Pakistan. The Azerbaijani Diaspora includes students and Azerbaijan married to Pakistanis.
