To ensure transparency political parties in Azerbaijan are to present open information on the sources of their funding, the head of the socio-political department of the presidents executive office Ali Hasanov said in a statement,Trend reports citing ANS TV channel.
Under the Council of Europe principles political parties funding is to be absolutely transparent. В"Political parties maybe financed from various sources. They may be also funded from the state budget, by their members donations and by forces interested in the development of the society, entrepreneurs and other layers , Hasanov said.
But they all are to be transparent. In future the practice of political parties state funding may be used.
At the workshop today on the OSCE Baku office initiative, along with the political parties leaders, officials from the presidential staff took also part. The workshop will be completed tomorrow.
