The meeting of the Presidium of the Azerbaijan Democratic Party (ADP) discussed the public-political situation in the country, interparty relations and organizing issues, the party told Trend. Appropriate decisions were made after discussions.
The members of the Presidium expressed their concerns in regard to use of force toward Fikrat Husseynli, the contributor of Azadlig daily, and condemned this case. They made a statement in relation to the incident. The meeting also discussed the activities of the Nasimi district branch of the party.
It should be mentioned that the activities of some heads of the organization, particularly, the chairman of the district branch, contradicted the regulations of the party. They regularly refused to fulfill the decisions and tasks of the party. Taking into consideration all these facts, the members of the Presidium made a decision to put the issue of dissolution and reformation of leading bodies of the Nasimi district branch for discussion by the supreme board. Control over the activities of the Nasimi district branch is entrusted to the organizing department of the party.
