DYNAMICS OF CHANGES IN SOME ECONOMIC SEGMENTS

Oil market

As a result of the week prices of the May futures on Brent at InterContinental Exchange Futures (ICE Futures) grew 2.1%, while May future on Light Sweet at NYMEX rose 1.1%. Rise in prices was essential, but less stronger than previous week.

Prices of April futures on gasoline at NYMEX rose in March 22%. According to the Energy Ministry in the week which ended on 31 March the commodity reserves of oil in the United States rose 2.1 million barrels to 342.8 million the highest of the week. The oil volume obtained exceeded the last year figure 24.5 million barrels or 7.7%.

Currency market

As a result of the last week official rate of manat in regard to US dollar, set by the National Bank of Azerbaijan grew 0,0007 point or 0.07%. Average rate was established as 0.90862 manats per 1 US dollar, Trend reports.

Last week maximum rate of US dollar in respect to manat was established on 3 April (0.9090 manats per 1 US dollar), minimum 7 April (0.9083 manats per US dollar

As of results of the last week exchange rates of Azerbaijani manat in regard to US dollar, established on the base of results of the Baku Interbank Currency Exchange (BICEX) increased by 0,0009 point or 0.09%. Average rate was fixed as 0.90836 manats per US dollar.

Last week maximum rate of US dollar in respect to manat was established on 3 and 4 April (0.9088 manats per 1 US dollar), minimum 7 April (0.9079 manats per US dollar).

Deals concluded last week at BEST with transition to currency (T+0) comprised $7,075 with average sustained exchange rate of 0,9088 AZN/USD on 3 April, $5.2m with average sustained rate of 0,9088 AZN/USD on 4 April, $6,798m with average sustained rate of 0,9081 AZN/USD on 5 April, $7,222m with average rate of 0,9082 AZN/USD 6 April, and $7,120m with average sustained rate of 0,9079 AZN/USD - 7 April .

Last week no deals were concluded through Russian currency and euro to absence of appeals.

Privatization shares market

Prices of vouchers grew in price. On 3 April prices of vouchers rose to 85,000 manats (17 AZN), while next day (4 April) it dropped 80,000 manats (16 AZN), on 5 and 6 April it stood at 70,000 manats (14 AZN), while on 7 April it starting rising and got fixed at 75,000 manats (15 AZN).
