Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev left for Kiev on 22 May 2006 to participate in the Summit of the GUAM, a regional organization among Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Moldova, the Azerbaijani Presidents Apparat told Trend.
Under the GUAM summit to focus on establishment to free trade zone the leaders of the 4 member-states will issue a joint declaration on the creation of an Organization for Democracy and Economic Development GUAM and adopt a new charter.
The headquarters of the organization will be based on Kiev. The summit is due to complete on 23 May.
