The Azeri President Ilham Aliyev congratulated the head of the Georgian state Mikhayil Saakashvili on the occasion of independence day, Trend reports.
It is stated in the congratulation letter: On behalf of Azerbaijan people and personally on my behalf, I congratulate you on the occasion of the independence day. I am heartily glad for the successful integration of Georgia into the world family, and establishment and enforcement of the democratic and legal state in Georgia.
The level of the strategic cooperation, primarily traditional and good-neighboring relations between two countries is the guarantee for the expansion of strategic cooperation, realization of trans-national energy projects, consolidation of relations and mutual support in the regional and international organizations, as well as ensuring the security and stability in the Southern Caucasus told in the letter.
