Ensuring the security of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline may be realized in three variants, Azer Mursaliyev, the editor of the international policy department of the outstanding Russian newspaper Kommersant, told the special correspondent of Trend in Moscow.

The first variant of ensuring the security of BTC may be realized by the forces of countries themselves such as Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey through which the pipeline passes. The second variant may carried out through ensuring the security with the multinational contingent of GUAM countries. And the last third one is to attract the American troops which will act first of all from the economical interests of the USA, Mursaliyev told.

If there are not serious infringements for the security of the pipeline, then the first variant will be real. But if the pipeline passes through the unstable region, then the pipeline may sustain attacks, told Mursaliyev, set an example from Nigerian generation Idju which by means of attacks and slander, turned it into their business.

There are many opinions and incontinence around the realization of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline, but it became a fact, told Mursaliyev, adding that even theoretical efforts to collapse it appears in this background highly unlikely, although several scenarios are possible for the development of the situation around worth of many-billion pipeline.
