Azerbaijan, Turkey signed protocol on totals of intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation

The protocol was signed today in Baku by the totals of Azeri-Turkish intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation, Trend reports. The protocol was signed by Azeri vice-premier Abid Sharifov and Turkish State Minister Mehmet Aydin.

Sharifov said the task had been set to extend collaboration in improving both the countries economy. В"We agreed that the countries workgroups will meet in a month to review meeting our agreementsВ", he added.

Turkish State Minister said during this session the parties defined the further steps for next years. В"The problems are known but each time we are working to bring them to minimumВ", he added.

Further, Turkish minister expressed his satisfaction with operation of BTC pipeline and launch of South Caucasian Pipeline scheduled to October. He also said TPAO of Turkey wanted to expand its operation in Azerbaijan.

During the session the omission discussed mutual debts, quotas and tax and customs issues.

Sharifov said 85 percent of Azeri construction market today is secured by Turkish companies.В"Nearly 6 thousand Turkish specialists wok in Baku in construction enterprisesВ", he indicated.
