Azerbaijan has expressed a wish to receive about 3 bln. cubic meters of gas from Russia the next year, however the Russian party has not got this volume to export to Azerbaijan, Rovnag Abdulayev, President of the State oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has told journalists today, Trend reports.
Notably, Russia's gas giant Gazprom has said that the Company could export some 1.5 bln. cubic meters of gas to Azerbaijan the next year.
According to Mr. Abdulayev, in 2007, Azerbaijan is about to continue piping its oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline.
The volumes of the export are under determination now. They will depend on the volumes of oil to be sent to Baku oil refineries and producing mazut to use it at the electric power stationsВ", he said.
