Yashar Aliyev, the Deputy Chief of the Baku Central Police Department, has exclusively informed Trend that due to the 17th anniversary of the 20 January Tragedy, the Baku police will work in a medium security. According to him, due to the forthcoming anniversary of the tragedy, a special plan, Road Traffic in the Streets nearby the Territories Attached to the Azizbayov Monument and the Teletheater, has been prepared, said Mr. Aliyev.
He said that President Ilham Aliyev and other top-ranking officials of the Country will visit Shahidlar Khiyabani (the Martyrs' Alley) in the morning on January 20, 2007. Starting from 11.00 a. m., citizens may visit the Martyrs' Alley too. The entrance will be from the square nearby the Azizbayov Monument, the exit вЂ" from the place named forty footsteps, he said.
He also said that police will take additional measures to normally hold the forthcoming citizens' visiting the Martyr's Alley. Ambulance cars will be brought to the territory as well.
