Vaheed Aliyev, the Advisor to Azerbaijan's President for Military Issues, has told journalists today that it is still not known as to whether Azerbaijan will raise the rent for the Gabala Early Warning Radar Station or not, Trend reports.
He said that the term of agreement on the rent of the Gabala Early Warning Radar, which was signed between Azerbaijan and Russia, will expire in 2012. Azerbaijan holds true to all agreements and treaties signed with other countries, despite the fact that Russia infringed the terms of an agreement on the supply of gas. I cannot say whether members of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament) will include the issue on the rise of the rent for the Gabala Early Warning Radar Station on the agenda of the forthcoming session, stated Mr. Aliyev.
