Moscow Consultations were Difficult  Azeri Foreign Minister

The next round of the consultations at the level of Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia in form of one-to-one and with the participation of the OSCE Minsk Group finished in Moscow on January 23. The meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan, Elmar Mammadyarov and Armenia, Vardan Oskanyan took place on the instructions of the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia to continue contacts after Minsk meeting, Trend Special Correspondent in Russia reports.

The Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan, Elmar Mammadyarov, said in his exclusive interview with Trend Special Correspondent that during Moscow meeting, intensive exchange of views was held on the Armenian-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement and debates were organized on the main settlement principles. According to him, during the negotiations, the main attention was paid to the recent principles of the settlement.

Commenting on the atmosphere of the Moscow negotiations, Mammadyarov called them as difficult, adding that the negotiation process will continue. The sides reached an agreement on continuing the negotiations at the level of Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia. In addition, the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group will leave for the region on January 23 and the consultations will continue in Baku and Yerevan.

The possible meeting of the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia will be defined as a result of the visit of the co-chairs to the region, Mammadyarov said.
