The Chairman of the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan, Ramiz Rzayev, informed Trend that the number of the cases considered in the Supreme Court decreased by 3,7% in 2006.
3 906 cases were considered by the court of appeal, 2 754 by court collegiums for civil cases, 395 in court collegiums for economical cases, 601 by court collegiums for criminal cases and 601 by court collegiums for military cases.
2754 cases were considered by court collegiums for civil cases. The court acted for 783 of them, have ceased and court motions for 50 of them have been annulled.
The court collegiums for criminal cases considered 601 cases and 76% of the motions remained in force.
