Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend S.Ilhamgizi / The date of the 11th Friendship, Fraternity and Co-operation Congress of the Turkic States and Communities has been confirmed, a source stated at the State Committee for Work with the Azerbaijanis Residing Abroad.
The Congress will take place on 17-19 November in Baku. The event will be attended by nearly 500 representatives of the Turkic-speaking countries. The representatives from Turkey include Prime Minister, Rejeb Teyyub Erdogan and former President, Suleyman Demrel.
The Congress is aimed at strengthening friendly and fraternal relations between the Turkic-speaking countries and communities, providing an opportunity to exchange information, propagating richness of the Turkic culture, developing economic co-operation and finding the ways of jointly resolving the common problems of the Turkic countries.
In addition to Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Mongolia, the Congress will be attended by the representatives of the Turkic-speaking peoples residing in Russia's republics of Altai, Bashkortostan, Chuvas, Dagestan, Kabardino-Balkaria, Tatarstan, Karachai-Cherkez.
