Now Paris Hilton tries her hand at poledancing

(dailymail.co.uk) - Paris Hilton was in town to promote her new perfume - but it appears the Simple Life star was keen to learn a new skill. The heiress turned her hand to poledancing on a night out in New York.

The heiress who vowed to cut down her hard-partying after her brief but embarrassing stint in jail, gave clubbers a thrill when took to the pole at New York's Marquee club.

The unabashed queen of self-promotion, who has just launched her fourth perfume, Can-Can, provided a titillating floorshow at the hip New York nightspot.

An animated Paris staged a full-on girlie show, touching herself, and writhing around the silver pole on the club's stage to "Stars Are Blind" a song off her ill-fated 2006 album.

A source said: "She couldn't get enough of the pole. Perhaps it brought back memories of her time behind bars."

Paris has made the most of her post-jail infamy, launching her own range of hair extenstions, a clothing line and she is lending her name to a new watch line through the company responsible for her fragrance.

Last month her charity trip to Rwanda was recently postponed after the charity organisation rescheduled it until next year. The socialite announced she would still be visiting the country to help bring attention to the issues there.

The millionaire hotel heiress turned TV personality said in an interview in Newsweek magazine that she hoped to shed her party-girl image and leave a mark on the world. The Rwanda trip was to be a first step on that journey.
