Azerbaijani Soldier Released from Armenian Captivity

Azerbaijan, Baku, 23 April / corr. Trend K. Zarbaliyeva/ The soldier of Azerbaijani army, kept in Armenian captivity, has been released on 23 April.

The soldier was handed over to Azerbaijan at 2:00 p.m. in the presence of representatives of International Red Cross Committee, administration of Balajafarli village of Azerbaijani Gazakh region reported.

Mukhtarov Yagub Allahverdi oglu was taken as a hostage on 9 March in Tovuz region. He was born on 29 April 1988 in the Shaki city.

Humbatov Vusal Shiraslan oglu, called up for the military service from Himilli village of Gobustan region of Azerbaijan was taken as a hostage on 11 April in Aghdam.

On 22 April, Azerbaijani Ombudsman appealed Baku Office of International Red Cross Committee (IRCC) for the release of Azerbaijani soldier kept in Armenian captivity in order to prevent torture and bad treatment toward them.
