Polish Football Club Offers New Contract to Azerbaijani Footballer

Azerbaijan, Baku, 22 May / corr. Trend R. Ergun/ The player of Grotslin club of Poland has been offered a new contract. "We have signed a new two-year contact with Grotslin. We have already left one year behind". "The management of the club offered me to prolong the contract by one year more. I will think and make a decision in several days," Sasha Yunisoglu, the footballer of Grotsin football club said to Trend on 22 May.

Yunisoglu was transferred to Polish club in summer 2007. He was playing for MKT-Araz, which was closed down due to the financial problems, before transferring to Grotsin.

The Azerbaijani footballer won a bronze medal in the championship held in Poland. He did not play in the final match of Grotsin with the Polish Legiya, the winner of the Cup, due to his trauma. "The chief coach said that if you play in the final, you can threaten your career. I also did not want play due to my trauma," he added.

According to footballer, the chief aim of Grotsin in the EUFA cup is to win three rounds at least.

The player of Grotsin is also a player of the Azerbaijani combined team. The chief coach of the combined team of Azerbaijan Bertie Fogts will certainly invite him to the friendly matches with Bosnia and Herzegovina on 1 June and Andorra - 4 June.

Yunisoglu, who is in Baku at present, will return to Poland on 15 June.

The matches of the next Polish championship will began in the end of July.
