Azerbaijan is a tolerant country and here we are evidence of joint residence of Sunnis and Shiites, Chief Mufti of Russia's Central Spiritual Governance for Muslims, Talgat Tajuddin said at an international conference "Inter-Religious dialogue: from mutual understanding to joint cooperation," dedicated to the birthday celebrations of Caucasus Muslims Board Chairman Sheikh-ul-Islam Haji Allahshukur Pashazade in Baku on Nov.7.
"We talked a lot about the mutual relations and interfaith dialogue. Unfortunately, we are not prepared either to cooperation or even to the dialogue. Our dialogue with representatives of traditional religions should be on the effective level," Tajuddin said.
