"We were very positively surprised by the huge interest of Azerbaijani children to study in Lithuania and by their very warm attitude towards our country," shared their feelings representatives of Vilnius Gediminas Technical University and Kaunas University of Technology. "We also noted that they were happy to hear that most of our universities do not ask for entrance exams and are accepting students on the bases of their school or university diploma", they said.

"I believe that close relationship of our countries and our common history is a strong initiative from Azerbaijani children to choose studies in Baltic countries," Kestutis Kudzmanas, Ambassador of Lithuania, said. "Moreover, our universities can offer very high level of education which is recognized in Europe and all over the world", he said.

This year, in accordance with the memorandum signed between the Lithuanian Embassy and Heydar Aliyev Foundation, 22 students were offered free studies in Lithuania. More than 10 other students joined Lithuanian universities applying directly.
