The Azerbaijani Press Council's Monitoring Group has monitored the conditions created for journalists to perform their professional duties during the unauthorized rally of the so-called the "Public Chamber" yesterday, Executive Secretary Rahim Huseynzade said.
The monitoring did not record any incidents involving media coverage.
Most media representatives covering the rally wore special jackets marked "PRESS."
The monitoring revealed cases when some journalists covering the rally were not wearing a special jacket.
"The Press Council always gives its recommendations in such cases. It is essential for journalists to wear a jacket marked 'PRESS' while covering mass meetings, especially unauthorized rallies," Huseynzade said.
