The success of Azerbaijani boxers at the European Championship, which started in Plovdiv on 14 July, will depend on the result of starting sortition.
The coach of the team, Mammad Eyvazov, told Trend that said that the sortition will play the leading role in the estimation of perspectives of any sportsman in the contest, taking in to consideration that even in the initial stage the sportsmen can meet with Russians. Of course, it is too difficult to imagine the boxers of the two countries will coincide in the first round in all 11 weight categories, but still we hope the Azerbaijani team will win prizes, the coach underlined.
Azerbaijani team won two bronze at the previous European championship.
