New Azeri-language newspaper to be published in Georgia

A new Azeri-language newspaper Taymer will be published in Georgia. The publication of the newspaper became possible through the support from the non-governmental organization Civil Development Agency of Rustavi city and American organization Center for Catholic Assistance, the special correspondent of Trend has been told in Internews-Georgia Fund.

Concurrently the newspaper will be issued in Russian and Azeri languages.

In the first stage, Taymer will be issued monthly.

The first issue of the newspaper was published in 2 thousand copies. The newspaper is in popular demand in Georgian Rustavi and Gardabani regions densely settled by Azerbaijanis. One copy of the newspaper costs 30 tetri (17 cents).

By present, Civil Development Agency has published one more newspaper Georgian-Azerbaijani Informator. The newspaper is also published monthly and disseminated in Rustavi and Gardabani regions free of charge.
