Aghayeva / The Azerbaijani Minister for Culture and Tourism, Abulfaz Garayev, reported on 25 April that Azerbaijan would for the first time participate in the modern arts biennale in Venice to be opened on 6 July and last 3 months. Azerbaijan will not be represented by painting and fine art, but by the works of young vanguard artists as well as constructive and conceptual works that have received a wide resonance in the world.
According to Garayev, the organizers of the Venice biennale have announced the participation of Azerbaijan. " Venice biennale is the greatest forum of fine art. For this reason each new participant country is of interest of the organizers," Garayev noted.
