(femalefirst.co.uk) - An investigation has been launched into allegations Paris Hilton received special treatment in jail.

Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore tells the New York Daily News, "We're going to investigate it and get to the bottom of it and find out exactly what happened."
The allegations were brought to the attention of the department's union, the Association for Los Angeles Deputy Sheriffs, by its members.Hilton was released from Lynwood, California's Century Regional Detention Center last month (Jun07) after being jailed for violating her probation from a 2006 drink driving arrest.
