Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend E.Huseynli / The meeting of the Pardon Commission at the President of Azerbaijan which took place on 19 July focused on appeals of arrested journalists, the member of the Commission, Azay Guliyev, informed Trend.
He said that the Commission's meeting will last for several days and the list of people for being pardoned will be submitted to the President of Azerbaijan. Guliyev did not name the journalists who have appealed. Currently seven journalists have been arrested in Azerbaijan.
Up to now, more than 40 pardon orders have been issued to release 4378 people
