KazMunayGas continues subsoil use activities together with partners

KazMunayGas (KMG) NC JSC, together with partners, is actively working to implement offshore projects for subsoil use, KMG told Trend.

According to the company, the work is underway at the Abay, Isatay, Zhenis and Al-Farabi sites, as well as Central, Khvalyn, Kurmangazy, Kalamkas-Sea and Khazar.

Currently, preparatory work for drilling exploratory wells is being carried out at the Abay, Isatay and Zhenis blocks.

A joint venture with "LUKOIL" PJSC was established under the Al-Farabi project, and a contract for exploration and production of hydrocarbons was signed.

On the Khvalyn project, negotiations are underway with the state authorities of Russia to obtain the right for subsoil use at the Khvalyn field, which will be registered for a joint venture between KazMunayGas and LUKOIL.

Under the Central project, in 2016, a license was issued for the use of subsoil with the intended purpose and types of work: geological study, exploration and production of hydrocarbons in the subsoil area located in the water area of ​​the Caspian Sea, within which the Central structure is located, for a period up to 2043.

Under the Kurmangazy project, together with Russian RN-Exploration LLC, negotiations are underway to expand the contract area.

Negotiations are underway on the Kalamkas-Sea and Khazar projects with strategic partner - LUKOIL.
