BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 7. Agricultural production in Azerbaijan will grow in 2022, Trend reports via the ADB Asian Development Outlook report.

According to the report, this figure will increase by six percent compared to 2021.

The bank also predicted a slowdown to 5.5 percent in the growth rate of agricultural production in Azerbaijan in 2023 compared to this year.

ADB noted that the growth of the agricultural sector in Azerbaijan, first of all, will be due to a reduction in food imports from Russia and Ukraine.

"Azerbaijan will stimulate domestic agricultural production through subsidies and other programs," added the report.

In 2021, the value of agricultural production in Azerbaijan exceeded 9.16 million manat ($5.4 million).
