Construction Cost Index (CCI) increased by 4.6 percent in Georgia in the third quarter of 2019 compared to the second quarter of 2019, Trend reports referring to Georgian National Statistical Office (Geostat).
As reported, the change was mainly due to a 13.4 percent increase in average monthly nominal wages of employees in the construction sector, which contributed 3.85 percentage points to the total index change.
Compared to the third quarter of 2018, CCI increased by six percent.
The growth was largely caused by 16.6 percent increase in average monthly nominal wages of employees in the construction sector, contributing 4.54 percentage points to the annual change of the CCI.
The CCI increased by 3.6 percent in the second quarter of 2019 compared to the first quarter of 2019 in Georgia.
