Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend I.Khalilova / As at 1 November, 51,027 unemployed people were registered in Azerbaijan, with 50.3% of them women. Unemployment decreased by 0.6% in October. The State Statistics Committee stated that four people apply for one vacancy.
Over the reported period, the labour capable population of the country equalled 429,180. Of them, 1363 work as hired employees. Of them, 13.6% work in the field of industry, 3.7% - construction, and 2.9% - agriculture, forestry and fishing.
37.6% of employees work in the field of education, 15% - health and social services, 8.6% - transport and communications, 7.7% - communal and social sphere, 5.1% - real estate sale-purchase operations, 4.5% - State management and defence, 0.7% wholesale and retail centres, car repair, domestic devises, 6.6% - other spheres.
The average unemployment allowance totals AZN 80.4.
