Health Ministry Says About Frequent Sunstroke Due to Anomalous Heat in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan, Baku, 29 July / Trend corr. S.Babayeva / Azerbaijani Health Ministry informed about frequent sunstroke cases due to anomalous heat in the country in July.

From 18 July to 27 July, about 12 people, suffered from sunstroke, appealed to hospital. Five people suffered from sickness, headache and faint. Men make up majority amongst suffered from 17 to 35 years old.

According to the National Hydrometeorology Department of the Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry, the anomalous heat has been observed in the country beginning from 24 July. The maximum temperature reached 37 or 39 degrees and even to 40 degrees in some territories in the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan from 38 to 42 degree.
