Peter Kankava was dismissed from his position as the chairman of the Department of Tourism at the Georgian Ministry of Economic Development. The post remains vacant, the department said.
Kankava was appointed to this position during Lasha Zhvania's activity as the Minister of Economy.
He is the fourth head of the department, who had to leave his post after the appointment of a new minister.
The new Minister of Economic Development, Zurab Pololikashvili intends to make reshuffles by Oct. 21.
