The Arvand Petrochemical Complex is currently 99 percent complete and will be officially inaugurated in February.
Once inaugurated, the complex will produce over 240,000 tons of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), some 25-30 percent of the world's total production, the Islamic Republic of Iran News Network reported.
The Arvand Petrochemical Complex is also projected to annually produce 660,000 tons of caustic soda, 340,000 tons of vinyl chloride, and 890,000 tons of ethylene dichloride.
