In January, Azerbaijan imported about 3,200 cars or 36.6 percent less than in January 2009, the State Statistical Committee said.
According to the State Statistical Committee, total value of imported passenger cars in January amounted to about $27.6 million or 19.8 percent less than in 2009.
In January, Azerbaijan imported 351 trucks or 68.3 percent less in 2009. The total cost of imported cars totaled about $12.1 million or 35.1 percent less than in 2009.
In January, the country imported 99 buses or 5.3 percent more than in January 2009. Buses in January were imported in the amount of $4.8 million or 20.5 percent less than in January 2009.
