Azerbaijan, with the volume of export-import operations worth $347.5 million, ranked third after Turkey and Ukraine in Georgia's foreign trade turnover in January-May, the Georgian Government reported on Tuesday.
Georgia's trade turnover with Turkey hit $538.7 million in January-May and with Ukraine - $355.4 million.
Goods worth $221.6 million were exported from Azerbaijan to Georgia in January-May. In turn, the figure was $442.3 million from Turkey to Georgia and from Ukraine - $305.9 million.
Azerbaijan occupies the first place in Georgia's export operations. Accordingly, goods worth $125.9 million were exported from Georgia to Azerbaijan in January-May .
Cars occupy the first place among the goods exported from Georgia. Vehicles in the amount of $ 197 million were exported from Georgia and imported - in the amount of $141.9 million. Ferroalloys in the amount of $104.7 million were exported from Georgia in January-May. During this period, Georgia exported mineral and chemical fertilizers in the amount of $67.1 million and gold - $ 48 million.
During the report period, Georgia imported grain totaling $75.6 million.
