Delegations from several Russian regions will visit Azerbaijan this autumn, Russian trade representative in Azerbaijan Yuri Shchedrin told Trend.
"Delegations from Astrakhan, Tambov, Karachay-Cherkessia and Dagestan will visit Azerbaijan in autumn to sign agreements," he said.
Shchedrin added that Russia's readiness to sign bilateral agreements is high. Documents are actively prepared for signing.
According to the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee, the trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $1.173 billion in January-May 2011.
According to the Russian Federal Customs Service, the trade turnover between Russia and Azerbaijan reached $1.947.9 billion in 2010.
The trade turnover with Russia has one of the most diversified commodity nomenclatures in Azerbaijan's foreign trade.
Russia mainly exported food products, machinery, equipment, vehicles, metals, wood, paper products, chemical products to Azerbaijan in 2010. Russia imports food products, textiles, mineral products, chemical products, machinery, equipment, metals from Azerbaijan in 2010.
Natural gas was supplied to Russia in 2010. Its volume was 800 million cubic meters per year. The export of Azerbaijani natural gas will increase up to 2 billion cubic meters in 2011-2012.
