More than 5.48 million tons of goods were transited through Iran in the first seven months of the current Iranian calendar year (began on March 21, 2011), the deputy roads and urban development minister stated.
Sahriyar Afandizadeh told the Pana news agency that 4.98 million tons the goods were transited via the road network.
Fuel, construction materials, foodstuff and chemical fertilizers were the main transited goods, he said.
