The total assets of the Azerbaijani Pasa Sıgorta insurance company have reached 47 million manat for the first nine months of this year, Chairman Nofel Rzayev said in an interview published on the company's website on Friday.
"Our indices are fully comparable with those of the average insurance companies in Eastern Europe," Rzayev said.
He added that Pasa Sıgorta's total investment portfolio has reached 36 million manat with a registered capital of 30 million manat.
"The investment income amounted to 2.4 million manat over these nine months, or 10 percent more than the planned rate of return on investments for 2011," Rzayev said.
About 9.2 million manat of the nine-month volume of the general insurance market falls to Pasa Sıgorta.
Rzayev said this is a normal index corresponding to the company's plans for 2011.
"This year was declared the year of development in Pasa Sıgorta," he said. "This means that the main priorities of the company's board and management have so far been to improve the business model and internal business systems."
