Azerbaijan products supplied to the Russian Federation do not have any quality problems, Deputy Head of Federal Agency on Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Russian Federation Alexander Zazhigalkin told Trend in Baku.

"Lately I have not faced any appeals to Rosstandart about barriers to export Azerbaijani goods to Russia, either non-correspondence of Azerbaijani products to requirements of the Russian legislation and standards. There is not any principle problem," Zazhigalkin said.

According to Zazhigalkin, Russia, as well as Azerbaijan, faces challenges on electrical products from Iran, such as fireplaces, stoves and so on.

"We have repeatedly revealed the cases of defective products supplied from Iran. Supplies go not only to Azerbaijan, but also in the southern regions of Russia, Astrakhan, and so on. In most cases it is done by Caspian Sea. It is the cheapest and the best option of transportation," Zazhigalkin said.

According to Zazhigalkin, There is no problem with products supplied from Azerbaijan for the last year and a half.

"We always like Azerbaijan agricultural products," Zazhigalkin said.

According to the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan the trade turnover with Russia amounted to $ 2.122 billion in January-September compared with the same period of last year to 62.73 percent. Azerbaijan exported to Russia goods worth $0.898 billion in this period.
