The number of national air companies was reduced to 10 in Georgia this year.
Georgian Economy and Sustainable Development Minister Vera Kobalia said the number of national air companies was reduced from 24 to 10 as a result of their examination for compliance of flight standards, certification and inspection.
As for the number of air boards which are registered in Georgia, after the planned and unplanned checks it decreased from 79 to 44.
The aviation personnel, civil airports, aviation colleges and aviation enterprises of Georgia are inspected in accordance with the requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization.
